Web Development Assistant

We are looking for a Kickstarter to add to our small team of awesome MegaMarketers to help grow and develop our marketing agency into something even greater and, in turn, allow you to develop and learn workplace skills.

Who we are looking for

If you’re talking in 0 and 1, and for bedtime reading you prefer a couple of lines of code and latest bug fixing tips on WordPress instances, then you could have just the talent we are looking for.

You are an enthusiastic and motivated team player with the ability to think on your feet. You love finding solutions for complex challenges; someone who is dedicated and passionate about what you do.

This vacancy is a Kickstart-Scheme vacancy with 25 hours per week, between 8am and 4pm Monday to Friday – to be agreed individually – on National Minimum Wage.

What you’ll do and learn

  • Shadowing our awesome MegaMarketers, creating functional website environment concepts and developing landscapes of developing, staging and live sites
  • Applying what you learned, creating concepts yourself
  • Setup and maintain WordPress instances yourself
  • Reporting on your activity and success
  • Further knowledge of applying HTML, CSS, PHP and JavaScript in a WordPress environment 

The skills needed
to be successful

  • Self-motivated and passionate
  • Ability to work on your own initiative
  • Enthusiastic and motivated team player
  • Desired to learn how to think on your feet
  • A logic mindset
  • Basic understanding of HTML,CSS, JavaScript and PHP
  • Basic understanding of WordPress in combination with Elementor or similar

  • You will get and apply knowledge on web environments.
  • You will learn about commitments towards others.
  • You will also have the chance to present yourself and your team’s work in round ups.
  • You will get a daily routine, and will be invited to join our digital office for a smooth communication process.
  • You will follow the work of the MegaMarketer you are shadowing.
  • You will gain an understanding of the importance of time management, and will get the opportunity to attend weekly sprint meetings to understand the importance of prioritisation and time management within a team.
