What is an Ideal Customer Profile?

An Ideal Customer Profile, or ICP, is a hypothetical description of a customer whose needs perfectly align with what your company has to offer. Customers will have specific, unique needs and requirements. An ICP essentially allows you to identify areas where specific needs could be catered to.

This is beneficial as a customer who fits your ICP is more likely to buy from you or use your service and continue to do so in the future. Having an ICP allows you to identify potential leads, it gives you a clear definition of if a customer will be a good fit or not.

Use in a sentence...

We really need to focus on this campaign, and only target the ads to our ICP.
