About British Imperial Military Band
The British Imperial Military Band is a professional band combining ex-military musicians from all three services. As one of the few remaining British military bands, their combined talents provide a unique blend of experience, expertise and tradition, and are much sought after for weddings and funerals, dinners and functions, and a wide range of public, corporate and private events.
The challenge
Before working with KAYBE, British Imperial Military Band had their website with Yell. It was poorly structured, old-school and outdated. Their main problem was that Yell didn’t do any follow-ups, leaving Director Phil Manley feeling frustrated and powerless.
He explains,
“I asked them several times to do certain things, such as update an incorrect contact number, or for pictures to be uploaded, and nothing ever happened. It was a nightmare!”
I wanted a brand-new website and for someone to take control of that side of things. I didn’t want to build the website myself or be getting involved, because I’m not tech-savvy like that. I don’t understand where things should be placed, or where buttons should be, and things like that.
Choosing KAYBE for a new website
“KAYBE’s design team looked at the website I had at the time and made suggestions on how to improve it. I worked closely with them to give my suggestions, too, providing any feedback where needed. It was a good process to be involved in. It was a really busy time for us with the Queen’s funeral and the King’s coronation, so it took a long time on our side to get started, but KAYBE were really patient. The thing that attracted me to KAYBE was their general friendliness as well as what they could offer.”
